there. I did it. I succeeded.
Big thanks to anyone that takes the time to read this chapter. Comments are always welcome.
That being said, I'm aiming to get back on track. I have some things to catch up on, but hopefully the next chapter will be out by at least the end of May.

See you all soon~

And I thought Black scratch would be a nice place for them :V
This was another really good chapter! I wanna know why all the skeletons think that Ghost is "playing pretend" or something like that, seems like Ghost's condition must be properly abnormal. I also wonder about who ghost's song was about, it's a pretty grim one for sure.

Lots of wonderful tension building up :D Leer has some past actions he's not super proud of... spicy!

Also, happy birthday!!

Slight spoiler alert for kenshi lore.

practically all skeletons have lived in the times of the empire and saw it's destruction, ever since they saw many things. ingame they sometimes tell you that most skeletons reset every certain time to not go mad. however, even after resets they still retain several old memories. apparently, if people were to know what really happened they would get skeletons into deep shit, and all skeletons made a sort of vow to never let fleshies know under no circumstances (for instance, talk to Iyo in world's end as a skeleton). wheter they made this vow as a sort of hive or there was a time where everyone were together is not known, but all skeletons know it and they think Ghost is overreacting and getting unwanted attention

Oh geeee... Fujin :C
They're all real sad, and they're all in real danger. I fear for them all
Also, Ghost's past. I really feel like I'm starting to really get into the groove of what my thoughts are with it. He was most likely a human, or a human conscience, put into the body of an experimental skeleton. His purpose was to protect and/or serve the girl (and her immediate family maybe?) He failed that, they'd have gotten murdered by someone, or something. He'd have felt so so guilty over that, not only because it was his only given task, but also because I think he may have grown fond of those who were under his protection. The trauma from all that (plus technical issues) caused him to not remember it all, like they're suppressed memories. Though, he does have amnesia, so that's also a thing. Regardless, I think he's most definitely haunted be a past his mind won't let him remember. I feel so bad for the poor doggo :c
Though, that's just my theory.

And, I have to say this...
This is very possibly one of the most interesting chapters of anything I've ever read. There's too many questions for me to even comprehend, and I'm beyond desperate to find out anything more about anything
Not just that, but it's gripping. I worry for the characters. I really do. I love how they're growing, and we're finding more out about them. I just want them all to be safe and happy ;_;
You don't have to worry about whether or not the quality of the work itself is on par with the rest. It was 100% believable in all the ways that I'd expect in a Kenshi related story. There wern't any instances where I felt that it "jumped the shark" so to speak. I followed along throughout the whole thing perfectly well, and without any kind of hindrance from being taken out of it at all. Immersed 100%. Also, I'd definitely argue that not only is this a chapter with amazing story and character developments, it's a particularly beautifully rendered chapter. The imagery is breathtaking, and the colours really are just wonderful. I cannot overstate how much I adore the visuals on this. My goodness. It really is something else.
Genuinely, for the parts that you feel that are rushed, there aren't any kind of issues that I can see with them. Looking at how the pages flow with the story that's being told, the dialogue that people have, and their actions. Especially things like the line art on the characters, their shading, the effects, the background art. It's all top notch.
Truly, a fantastic chapter
Well worth the wait for sure

Also, gosh dang it, I love Leer and Ghost so much it hurts ;__;

I know i havent been replying to comments much at all recently, but it really does help me to go back and re-read these when I'm feeling down on myself. I've probably said this a million times before, but it still holds true,

Thanks <3

It is no problemo, don't worry about it :)
I... rarely use comic fury, so I'm probably worse at responding to things hahaha

And to think you were worried this chapter was sub-par... Friend, this chapter is *amazing*. It's just... Dat Kenshi lore! That peak into the whole story behind the skeletons, and the past they desperately try to bury! And the action! The way Leer's dust coat flairs out when he moves, I'm left wanting one of those myself!

I guess once again I get to go back to shouting "I need moar!"... But, that's okay. Great things take time, and for something as great as this, it's well worth the wait - however long it takes.

The more I find out the more interested I am in every single one of these characters. I know it can be hard to see from the inside after so many hours spent working on it but this chapter was amazing and I'm really glad I got to see it!

Never heard of your comic before today, but I just binged the whole thing, and man how good it feels to breathe in all the dust and ash and blood... You truly polished a wonderful Kenshi-vibed story there, I hope I'll get to read the following chapters soon!

I just binged this comic over the course of a week, and I'm not sure what to say. I feel for these characters, worry for their safety in the face of danger, and rejoice at their triumphs. Losing each other is all too real a possibility here, and while they've recently proven how strong they've become as a team in battle, it seems that dangers of the heart and mind still pose the greatest threat. Often they're the most difficult to combat, and I really hope they don't try facing them alone. Especially Fujin.

I love you, Fujin.

Bandkanon,

It's been a pleasure to see your art evolve from the first page to the last. Reading your comments along the way, your highs and your lows, I get the impression that this project has helped you build more confidence in yourself and your work; maybe (hopefully?) even a little peace of mind. It's nice to see you step back on occasion and acknowledge that you kicked ass at drawing a particular frame/page or at writing a particularly evocative passage.

Thanks again for the gut-wrenching emotions. I look forward to the next chapter. Please take care of yourself.
